I think group A will solve it quicker than B.
When group A solve this problem, they want the reward quicker. If there are another challenger, they group A will work harder to get the rewards, so the problem is just a process, and thier purpose is to get reward.
On the contrary, group B enjoy solving the problem, so their purpose is to enjoy it, so time is not prblem for them.
So I think group A will solve it quicker than B.

Answer to the Candle problem
In this picture, there are many pins and match, and box, so at first, I attach the pin box to the wall by the pins. Second, stick the candle by using pin from the bottom of the box.
So, I think the candle's wax will not drop onto the table.
It took me 30 minutes to answer.
I think the powerful motivation are reward or satisfaction.
Satisfaction are often got by being praised, and the desire to be praised is naturally strong greed of human, so it is good enough to be the reason for the question.
Next, I will talking about reward as a motivation.
Conversely, many people don't want to do job unless it is interesting for them, without reward.
I think people are often encourage to do something by their greed or goal.
